MADISON, Wis. -- Burglars made off with cash and a backpack after entering a home on Madison's south side Thursday night.

A woman reported the burglary at around 10 p.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of Lake Point Drive. She returned home to find that someone had entered without her permission.

Madison police said a suspect left behind clothing at the scene.
